Language learning? It's easy.

DigitalXpert Software, a leading provider of advanced educational software announces launch of the prototype version of language development system – SmartLex. The multilingual version of this new generation product will allow its users to quickly broaden their vocabulary and acquire necessary communication skills for any language. As against other systems, the product by DigitalXpert Software is not directly connected with any teaching method and can be useful as to those who learn a language on their own, and as an addition to any standard language course.

SmartLex constitutes an environment to extend vocabulary on any topic. The product database that numbers millions of lexical units on all languages known in the modern world will provide product users with the source to train vocabulary. A person who learns a language is able to compile word lists to be memorized himself and then polish their usage in various situations with the help of more than 10 built-in tools. As a basis for learning, not only built-in topical dictionaries can be used, but also dictionaries added by the user himself. Thus a possibility of language extension appears; it concerns both vocabulary and language variety.

Activities can be arranged into lessons and then into integral courses according to the user's wishes. SmartLex provides a built-in tool that allows planning activities to be performed at a specified time. The system will remind the user when which activities should be performed.

The system provides storing statistics on vocabulary training. At any moment, the user can see how many activities have been performed to memorize this or that word, how many mistakes did s/he make in word usage, and which other activities s/he should do to achieve good results.

The product allows working with all types of media resources, from sound files to video fragments. Users can hear pronunciation of any word or view a video fragment of its usage in real speech.

The network version of the product is designed for language learning under the direction of a teacher. The system allows an educator to control the process of performing activities by his/her students, to assign activities to them, to build courses of lessons, and to create reports.

SmartLex is realized on all platforms that are currently popular: Windows, Mac, Palm, and Pocket PC. A separate product version is designed for mobile phone users. Built-in tools allow synchronizing data from the user's personal computer to mobile versions of the product. Having created word lists on his/her personal computer, the user will be able to perform activities with these same word lists on a Pocket PC. S/he won't have to re-create the word lists on another device.

This instrument is designed for users of any age and any language knowledge level. With SmartLex, language learning will require minimum time and efforts.
